L’ESSENTIEL

What is a lifting mammaire?

A lifting mammaire, or mastopexie, removes excess skin and tightens surrounding tissue to reshape and support the breast. The nipple and areola are repositioned to a more youthful, forward-facing position. Unlike augmentation mammaire, which increases size with implants, a lifting mammaire primarily addresses sagging and shape — though many patients combine both for lifting and volume.

Dr Saba assesses your breast anatomy, skin quality and degree of ptosis (sagging) to recommend the most appropriate technique — from a minimal peri-areolar lift to a full anchor lift for more significant correction.

WHO IS IT FOR

Ideal candidates for mastopexie.

You may benefit from a lifting mammaire if your breasts have lost shape due to ageing, pregnancy, breastfeeding, weight fluctuations or genetics. The ideal candidate is at a stable weight, in good health, and has realistic expectations.

  • ✓ Breasts that have lost firmness or shape
  • ✓ Nipples that point downward or fall below the crease
  • ✓ Stretched areolas out of proportion
  • ✓ One breast sitting lower than the other
  • ✓ Skin laxity with loss of upper-pole fullness

Consultation

Private assessment of your anatomy, degree of ptosis, goals and technique options — honestly discussed.

Planning

Dr Saba selects the optimal lift technique based on your breast shape, skin quality and desired outcome.

Surgery Day

2–3 hours under general anesthésie. Excess skin removed, tissue reshaped, nipple repositioned.

Récupération

Surgical bra for support. Light activities at 1–2 weeks, full routine by 4–6 weeks, final shape at 3–6 months.

TECHNIQUES

Breast lift techniques.

Peri-areolar (donut) lift — A circular incision around the areola for mild sagging. Minimal cicatrices, subtle correction.

Vertical (lollipop) lift — The most common technique. Incisions around the areola and vertically to the crease. Significant reshaping with moderate cicatrices.

Inverted-T (anchor) lift — For severe ptosis. Adds a horizontal incision along the crease for maximum lifting and reshaping.

Dr Saba can also combine a lifting mammaire with implants for patients who want both elevation and added volume.

RÉCUPÉRATION

What to expect after your lifting mammaire.

Week 1: Rest at home, wear a supportive surgical bra, manage swelling with prescribed medication.

Weeks 2–4: Gradual return to light daily activities. Avoid heavy lifting.

Weeks 4–6: Most patients return to work and normal routines.

3–6 months: Final results become visible as swelling resolves and cicatrices begin to fade. Scars continue improving for 12–18 months.

QUESTIONS ET RÉPONSES

Your questions, answered.

How much does a lifting mammaire cost in Dubai?

Breast lift costs depend on the technique, whether implants are added, and facility fees. Dr Saba provides personalised, all-inclusive quotes during consultation. See the lifting mammaire cost guide.

Will I have visible cicatrices?

Scars are placed in discreet locations and fade significantly over 12–18 months. Dr Saba uses precise closure techniques and recommends cicatrice management protocols.

How long do results last?

Breast lift results are long-lasting, though natural ageing and gravity continue. Maintaining a stable weight and wearing supportive bras prolongs results.

Can I combine a lift with implants?

Yes. Many patients combine mastopexie with augmentation mammaire for both lifting and added volume.

What is récupération like?

Most patients return to light activities within 1–2 weeks and full routines by 4–6 weeks. Final results are visible at 3–6 months.

Will a lifting mammaire affect breastfeeding?

Many women can breastfeed after a lift, but some techniques may affect milk ducts. Discuss this with Dr Saba if future breastfeeding is a priority.
